International Students
It is advised that international applicants contact the MBA office to discuss application requirements.
In addition to the other requirements for admission to The Richmond MBA, the following is required:
- Proof of English proficiency is required. We require an electronic, official score from the TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo exams. The minimum acceptable scores are 600 for the paper-based TOEFL, 100 for the TOEFL iBT, 7 for the IELTS, or 125 for Duolingo. International applicants may be exempt from this requirement if they can provide a signed letter from their college or university attesting that their primary language of instruction is English.
- Copy of valid passport.
- Unofficial academic transcripts, along with a translated copy if they are not originally in English.
- An evaluation of your undergraduate diploma and transcript by Global Credential Evaluators (gceus.com) or another credentialing service if your degree was obtained outside of the U.S. It is necessary to request a course-by-course evaluation and a calculated GPA. Evaluation must show that your degree is equivalent in credit hours to a four-year undergraduate degree in the U.S. (An applicant whose prior experience in higher education includes work taken at a non-United States college/university is required to have the academic record evaluated by an independent credentials evaluation service.)
- Completed Certification of Finances form with official bank certification and I-20 authorization form. Submit the I-20 Authorization Form and the Certificate of Finances Form to the MBA office. Read more here.
- Official transcript evaluations must be sent directly to our office from the credentialing agency.
