International Women's Day Celebration
“International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality. IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group, or organization specific.”
In celebration of International Women’s Day, every March we partner with the Virginia Council of CEOs to host an event for students and the RVA business community focused on the year’s International Women’s Day theme. The event features a keynote speaker and then small group conversations regarding your experience with the theme. The evening concludes with a casual happy hour networking gathering.
